Get Ready for the Action-Packed "The Last of Us" Season 2!
You know how people loved Season 1 of The Last Of Us, but had a few complaints? The critics, well, they really loved the story, how close the show was to the game, but thought it wasn't enough 'zombie action' for a world full of Clickers, and people with fungi in their brains. The trailer for Season 2 sounds like it's gonna totally make up for that!
This season is about to deliver on all those gnarly action sequences you wanted, directly from the game! Like Ellie running from a Clicker, those creepy Seraphites with torches in the woods, even the shot of those Infected jumping over a chain-link fence – it's all ripped straight from the game. Get ready to see your favorite game moments come alive, complete with some very satisfying visual effects.
The Last of Us' Critics Might Just Get Happy Now
We gotta give credit where credit's due! The creators did an excellent job with the show in Season 1 – it brought the story and the characters to life on the small screen, adding a lot of heart and emotion. The real struggle with an adaption is when you gotta decide what to leave out, and the big fight scenes seemed to have taken a backseat for most of the time, with a bunch of other story elements that weren’t necessarily from the game taking precedence. Remember all that drama about Kathleen, that was kind of jarring! Maybe Season 2 will give us some serious 'infected battles'.
We got our taste of infected goodness in the trailer and they really upped their game. We're looking at Ellie having to make a run for it, like something out of those classic “The Last Of Us” action sequences. It just wasn't really present as often in the show. But those big, intense battles, it's part of the show's whole deal. With a few great action sequences thrown into the mix, the second season might get even more attention from the fans.
New Threats Coming: From The Seraphites To the Clickers
Remember how creepy those Seraphites were in the game? They're getting more of the spotlight in Season 2. That 'we are gonna kill everyone' vibe? Totally spot-on. I bet you’re wondering about what happens with the Seraphites, Abby, and Lev, who got kinda sidelined last time around. They will also be there this season! The story is taking its time as “The Last of Us” continues to expand beyond the video game's timeline! It'll probably add even more story threads in Season 2, taking those twists and turns into something really special.
We don't know when The Last of Us will show us, but in the Season 2 trailer, it looks like those classic moments that fans really enjoyed in the game are coming to the forefront, making a point of showing how dangerous that infected world really is, complete with all those awesome scenes. And I bet the characters are about to level up in the drama too, giving us the opportunity to see Ellie, Joel, and Abby face off with more emotion, more suspense, and a whole lot more mayhem.
What Are They Doing with The Last of Us? A World of Clickers and Post-Apocalyptic Mayhem
The original game is set after the world’s been turned into a horrifying infected wasteland by some funky fungus. People get infected, turn into Clickers (imagine if mushrooms started taking over!), and the only rule is that you’ve gotta fight for your survival. “The Last of Us” doesn’t really make it a big secret about those "clickers" and infected – that’s a pretty big part of the story! But in the show? The action wasn’t always there as often.
It looks like they are really fixing that with the second season, though. Those iconic infected battles are really about to dominate the screens, complete with some very awesome, chilling moments as we see what happened after Season 1 and those dramatic endings that came with the infected!
Fans, Are You Ready for More? What’s In Store For Season 2?
We are excited! They’re really pushing those battle sequences front and center! It’s time to get back to that intense, emotional experience we know The Last of Us is all about! Season 2 seems to be about to deliver on all those things people really loved. Just thinking about the characters having to really battle the infected in such a dangerous world, you can already feel the tension. We'll just have to see what those scenes will actually be, but I am certain the second season is about to take a lot of the awesome scenes and storylines from the game and turn them into some intense television moments!
It's definitely time to strap in, prepare yourself for those twists and turns because with more action comes more dramatic choices for Joel and Ellie, and the other characters that have joined their journey. What we will get with the new season is still uncertain! Season 2 has a whole lot of things going on, and those infected-fueled moments will be an integral part of that story. You better believe they are about to create a new chapter that has more to say about that world, those people, and what it means to survive!
