Amy & Sheldon Receive the Nobel Prize
The Nobel Prize plotline took up most of the first half of "Change Constant," The Big Bang Theory Finale. When it was eventually revealed that Sheldon and Amy had prevailed, there was much fanfare, especially for the former who had dedicated his entire life to achieving this. But that wasn't quite what he had been hoping for, despite his craving for it.
Sheldon gradually slips into paranoia as a result of the constant barrage of significant changes occurring around him. Amy had similar stress as a result of the media pursuing her and making comments about how she looked, even if she had initially enjoyed the attention. She goes to Raj for assistance, and he recommends that she get a makeover. Everyone thinks it's great, except her husband, who thinks it's just another unanticipated shift.
After fixing the elevator, Leonard modifies the apartment.
One of the main plot lines of The Big Bang Theory was wrapped up after Sheldon's meltdown about Amy's new appearance: Penny emerges from the working elevator and exclaims, "Can you believe it? while Leonard tries to reason with Sheldon in the corridor. Has the elevator been fixed at last?" This sets up a hilarious scene in which Sheldon attempts to flee from the Hofstadters downstairs, only to find Penny waiting for him because the lift is still in working order.
It's not the only modification. Returning to the flat, Leonard makes the decision to rearrange everything since he feels more confident now than ever before. Sheldon has never done this in the history of the program. In the height of his rebellion against his best friend's authoritarian tendencies, Leonard manipulates and touches the molecular model that Sheldon had forbidden him from handling.
Penny Is Expecting
After two months, Sheldon concluded recreating the molecular model with Leonard and began talking about how fantastic the last episode of The Big Bang Theory, "The Stockholm Syndrome," had been. He's got used to his new role and is just as eager as the group to board the plane and head to Stockholm for the Nobel Prize presentation. This is the first time Howard and Bernadette have left Halley and Michael, so even with Stuart staying behind to monitor the kids, they are anxious.
Raj also needed someone to watch Cinnamon, and luckily Bert is willing to look after his cherished companion while he's abroad. Penny and Leonard are keeping a significant secret under wraps because of the impending trip's commotion: Penny is pregnant. On the evening of Penny and Sheldon's visit to the Cheesecake Factory, they had their conception. This episode is full of subtle hints, but because everyone is so preoccupied with their own lives, it's easy to miss them.
The Big Bang Theory Group Nearly Disbanded
But the timing of Penny's pregnancy revelation may have been better. During their turbulent flight to Stockholm, Leonard came clean, and Sheldon shrugged it off because of the pressure of the Nobel. The gang's trip in Sweden gets off to a rough start when they discover that Penny has an odd infatuation with pickled herring and salted cod. He is furious that his best friend seems indifferent to this significant news.
Not only is everything not looking well for the Wolowitz family, but Stuart also tells Howard and Bernadette that Halley lost Michael when playing hide-and-seek, and he also lost a tooth while falling down the stairs. The couple decides they will fly home and skip the award ceremony since they are understandably concerned about their children. Howard is even more inclined to depart since Sheldon doesn't appear to be upset by the news. Additionally, Leonard decides he's had enough and that he and Penny should head back home.
Now, Raj and Sarah Michelle-Gellar are dating?
In The Big Bang Theory Finale, Raj too has a happy ending, though it's not as spectacular as the rest of the story. When Sheldon sees Sarah Michelle-Gellar (the actress playing herself) next to Raj during their plane meeting, he blurts out, "Is that Buffy the Vampire Slayer?" during his speech. Raj appears to end up with the celebrity, even if she clarifies that it's not a date, unless this is addressed in a possible sequel.
The Big Bang Theory finale was a heartwarming conclusion that met all the requirements for a happily ever after. Nevertheless, the story was overly Sheldon-centric, with many plot twists ignoring earlier events, much like the majority of the last season. Instead of feeling like support for the Coopers, it would have played better if the show's writers had clearly outlined a final season that would lead to the series end and allowed each character to receive their just desserts.
After the conclusion, what happened to the characters?
Little is known about the characters' lives following the Big Bang Theory finale. The Young Sheldon Series Finale does, however, provide some intriguing details about four of the characters. Based on what was disclosed on TBBT, a plot twist at the conclusion of Young Sheldon explained the plot holes throughout the series. Sheldon Cooper has been writing about that entire spinoff series in his autobiography. He and Amy are still together and continue to be abrasive with one another.
Sheldon makes reference to Penny, but neither Raj nor Howard are mentioned at all. They indicate they named their son Leonard and that Penny babysits their son for them during their brief appearance in the finale, which takes place while Sheldon is speaking with Amy. Interestingly, though, given Leonard was Sheldon's best buddy, they never bring him up. This makes some people think that Leonard has passed away since Big Bang Theory concluded, which would seriously undermine the show's climax.
