Remember "That '70s Show?" Well, there was a Netflix sequel series called "That '90s Show."! It took everyone back to those wacky antics of this well-loved group of characters.

It looked like it was a super hit show but, just as the second season was wrapping up the series got cancelled!

There's really only one main reason why this fun, nostalgic series went off the air.

The streaming platform just wasn't able to give the series enough time to make up the gap that occurRed.

There were some huge numbers for the show when it first launched in January 2023! For Netflix it was a really successful start.

During that time it got over 10.4 million viewers!
Season 2 had far fewer, it dropped down to about 1.6 Million! Those numbers for week two, were even worse!

There was another moment to add in some more complications when the second part of Season 2 aiRed!

While fans are pretty bummed about this new outcome.

Can There Be a Season 3?

It really looks like fans can still be optimistic! What has come from Kurtwood Smith?

Smith is known as Red Forman in this series! You won't be able to miss this star, or even imagine the show without him. He took to Instagram and shared some truly good news!

He revealed that "That '90s Show" is still up for grabs and making the rounds for other networks. This is not unusual, especially with some hit shows that may not be picked up by the streaming service but that doesn't necessarily mean the show is done! They are hoping another streaming network or production studio might be interested!

It appears that those at Netflix decided to let it go.

Changes For The Show?

But if this series makes its way back there are things that fans should keep in mind.

The shows could take an interesting and somewhat shocking direction.

The main concern, is it won't appear on Netflix anymore.
The new network that brings this back to life might give "That '90s Show" some major makeovers!
As networks and studios might need to change creative vision to appeal to viewers!

This could be a brand new series with its own identity or maybe the same story and different network to air on! Who knows what will happen?
