There are lots of questions about season 3 of That '90s Show.

Even with its success for Netflix, the second season brought the series to an abrupt stop with the show getting canceled in August 2024.

This is not what the producers expected as the first season was a super big hit.

Viewership Numbers

It seems like no one has figured out just how those viewing numbers really translate into what happens with series.

The season two numbers, however, may just explain why there was such an interesting turn of events for That '90s Show.

The initial part of the second season got about 2 million views, which hardly made Netflix's top 10 during that week! Fans had been looking forward to the second part of the season, however, when it was released in August 2024.

There was an even smaller amount of views!
It fell below 1.6 Million!
Those low numbers, even though a show may continue for some time. Were the major turning point to end the series!

Fans, however, may get some additional joy out of this if Netflix finds another streamer that will pick it up, and That '90s Show will get another season!

A Brief Look at Season 2

Before you say that this is just another bad move in the world of streaming! Season 2 was packed with great fun and laughs.

In "That '90s Show", audiences get to see what the new crew is up to! We see the family that was known as the Formans coming together as well!

The first episode of the second season got everyone talking!

Topher Grace played his character, Eric Forman, in that special first episode of Season 2 of "That '90s Show.".
But then Eric Forman doesn't come back for the next set of episodes of season 2, and the reasons might just leave you wondering!
Grace had been tied up with several projects and sadly, wasn't able to show up more, but that certainly didn't stop audiences!

As the second season rolls in, "That '90s Show" had such an important goal- the desire to make everyone happy, and so many had been enjoying the time, laughs, and those warmhearted memories that came from this series!

The season 2 episodes that were released! They got people talking!

That '90s Show released a few big twists that took the characters to some interesting and challenging spots.

A wild crash as a car slams through the family's house!
The main character, Leia had some emotional rollercoasters!
A new twist, was the fact that Donna announced that Eric, her love interest got an awesome opportunity. It turned into something no one saw coming. He got the opportunity to write a book for George Lucas. That means that Eric is off to California.
Donna had her own major decisions that made her choose between Chicago and California so the family had an interesting conundrum to navigate!

These series moments might not have made it to season 3, as there is an indication that That '90s Show was set for another long run. The second season ended on an amazing note that seemed to set it up for season three. It may still make a big comeback. Only time will tell.
