Sometimes a great TV show takes a little too much inspiration from previous work! In Star Trek: Voyager, the crew on this interstellar ship were trying to find their way home and this really caused "Voyager" to have plenty of great adventures! But sometimes this awesome space adventure repeated its plots!
id="a-repeating-storyline"> A Repeating Storyline:Two episodes in "Voyager" were a lot alike. One of those memorable shows from the early 1990s, which brought viewers a compelling and long running series that helped bring space exploration and sci-fi action into their living rooms.
Now for the next installment and a little too much inspiration! This time we head into Season 7 of "Voyager" where the crew is lost once more!
What happened in "Voyager" and what makes these stories a bit too close to call? Let's talk about these episodes and the plot lines.
While fans were incredibly invested in "Voyager," and their great journey, It seems these shows gave people so much to be excited for.
This series really focused on those emotionally intense moments.
That came from "Night" being so special.
The show wasn't as compelling in this storyline, however. What fans may have seen was an intense, compelling story! That brought Janeway's storyline forward. However, "The Void", tried to bring in action as opposed to these powerful feelings and emotions. You might have found yourself trying to get to know what the space exploration was going to look like but was let down by this unfulfilling installment.
Voyager was full of so many exciting twists, even more interesting to those who loved the series as they had those big-time storylines in every episode. If there's one that stands out it was, "Random Thoughts," it's even more strange since they tried to replicate previous storylines! And it did so poorly, giving us some of the least enjoyable episodes in this series!
These characters had some truly remarkable storylines and a long history!
While it might look like Voyager copied from its previous season, what is interesting is that this series has had moments where they re-imagined elements of other series!
"Jetrel" was based on one of the episodes that Deep Space Nine had in their season.
You may even wonder if it took elements from one of Deep Space Nine's great episodes, "Duet" and tried to re-imagine them, it was an epic fail in every way!
When the writers for "Voyager" could come up with original plots they created some truly special moments, but if they decided to play it safe and create new iterations of previously shown storylines it rarely went over well. There is no surprise why "Star Trek" fans continue to return to this epic series!
