Shoresy's Hidden Connection to Letterkenny Characters: Peppi Panini Restaurant

Shoresy's Secret Connection to Letterkenny: A Heartwarming Tale

Shoresy, the hilarious hockey spin-off of the beloved Canadian comedy Letterkenny, might be filled with inappropriate jokes, but it also has a surprising amount of heart. And one of the most heartwarming connections is hidden in plain sight: Peppi Panini, the local hangout for Shoresy and the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs.

Shoresy's Peppi Panini Restaurant Is Owned By Letterkenny's Tyson & Mia-Sophia Actors In Real Life

In the show, Peppi Panini is a bustling Italian restaurant and bar in downtown Sudbury. But in real life, it's a real place with a real connection to Letterkenny. Peppi Panini, officially called Peppi's Ristorante & Lounge, is owned and operated by Jay and Julia Bertin, who play Tyson and Mia Sophia in Letterkenny!

While Mia Sophia only appears in a few episodes, mostly hanging out with the hockey players Reilly and Jonesy, Tyson has been a staple since season 1, known as one of Wayne's (played by Jared Keeso) loyal buddies. And just like in Letterkenny, the real-life Peppi Panini even has a pressed panini called the "Pitter Patter"!

Shoresy's Peppi Panini Connection Makes Letterkenny Character Cameos More Likely

With Jay and Julia Bertin running Peppi Panini right where Shoresy is filmed, it seems like a cameo from Tyson or Mia Sophia is practically inevitable. After all, Shoresy's ending suggests that the story of the foul-mouthed but surprisingly big-hearted Shoresy is far from over. So, these two characters are bound to show up sooner rather than later. But the prominence of Peppi Panini in Shoresy makes the possibility of more Letterkenny cameos even greater.

Both Letterkenny and Shoresy were shot in Sudbury, Ontario. Many locations in the town were used to represent the fictional town of Letterkenny in the original show. With Peppi Panini owned by two Letterkenny actors, there's a perfect way for any Letterkenny character to appear in Shoresy: they could just be customers at the restaurant! While it might be too much to hope for Squirrelly Dan or Katy to show up, a cameo from McMurray or Gail would be hilarious and strengthen the connection between the two shows.

So next time you're watching Shoresy, keep an eye on Peppi Panini. It might just be the gateway for some familiar faces from Letterkenny to join the fun in Sudbury!
