Will the "Scrubs" Revival Bring Back The Original Hospital?

Good news, "Scrubs" fans! Bill Lawrence - the mastermind behind that awesome medical comedy - wants to bring back the show, but it's a bit complicated.

Where Was the Original Hospital Set?

You’re probably thinking of the Sacred Heart, that cool hospital where those funny docs and nurses worked! But the real deal, that awesome building in North Hollywood? Well, it got demolished way back in 2011!

Where Would "Scrubs" Be Filmed?

If it returns, it's got to find a new spot to shoot! In those last seasons, Scrubs season 9, the show kind of ditched the whole idea of using a real hospital, instead of filming in that real hospital they did their shooting on those built-for-TV sets! It looked pretty cool but lost that real hospital feel. Maybe they are planning to get back to the original Scrubs set or they could just get back to the original hospital and make it all feel more real!

Is This a Problem For the Revival?

• It might be a bit tough to pull off, because they won't get the magic of those original Scrubs filming locations from those early seasons. Think all the inside jokes that they had because it felt so real!
• Lawrence said that they are probably doing a whole reboot! If so, they'll need to make the Scrubs revival really believable for fans to enjoy. There are some ideas for using all the cool de-aging technology that Disney has been using, too!
• The truth is: the new show will probably take place in a whole new Scrubs hospital, like the North Hollywood Medical Center, to make the story feel brand-new and fresh - because nobody wants to be stuck in the same spot!

This could totally turn out to be pretty interesting, because you never know! But in all honesty, those real-life sets gave "Scrubs" so much of its heart. Fans of those early seasons - that's you - want those moments with that incredible "Scrubs" cast back! It's one of the best shows ever.
