Sang Heon Lee is a South Korean actor best known for his role in the Netflix series XO, Kitty . He has gained global recognition for his portrayal of Min Ho Moon which is his first major acting credit.
Lee’s character is a central figure in the plot line. He’s best friends with another student at the Korean International School of Seoul (KISS) named Dae, but initially does not like Kitty. Throughout both series his role evolved greatly as his character develops. As such his presence is pivotal to the story line.
Min Ho starts out disliking Kitty but they evolve into becoming great friends which eventually makes room for romantic feelings. This transition made his portrayal multi-layered as he moved through various obstacles which created his character arc in the series.
Min Ho, played by Lee, showcases many dynamic characteristics. Throughout both series there are a mix of complexities of emotions that play off screen including relationships that range from his bromance with Dae to the ongoing love story with Kitty and also another relationship he pursued to cause further disruption.
As viewers learn more the seemingly light hearted side that Min Ho puts on for his persona is just an act for a man with layered complex emotions. His vulnerability during those moments with close friends create a compelling arc and make him relatable for viewership. His choices make his overall character dynamic.
XO, Kitty is a spin-off from the popular trilogy “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before." It follows the main character Kitty in Korea where she explores her past with her mother along with many love triangle based stories and friend issues.
With each episode new challenges arise which are designed to push her boundaries while dealing with her feelings and past and present events that directly effect all relationships on screen. The importance of personal values along with relationships becomes core as the series unravels for those who are observing.
Season 2 dives into Min Ho and Kitty as they change dynamics with her also exploring other aspects of her sexuality. As she had tried to deal with her feelings for Yuri and they move along from their feelings the audience may begin to shift opinions to see other characters. They will be confused in the storyline just as much as Kitty does as the relationship she previously believed was impossible now had a high probability for it's formation.
Min Ho moves through an interesting dynamic this year where he goes through some personal development as he navigates a relationship with another girl in hopes of moving away from his feelings for Kitty. He takes time to accept Kitty’s feelings and is shown in a mature space during this storyline.
Though there has not been any new update regarding Season 3 many viewers are ready to see more from the love triangle and other situations left unanswered. It seems Netflix is considering viewing results and other factors while a fanbase waits in anticipation for more story.
With the possibilities of another season there are potential stories such as Kitty and Min Ho finally taking a chance at their love for one another and what challenges those obstacles may come with. There also has been discussions of other adventures outside of Seoul as well to give expansion into family secrets with many unique plot line additions. With a blend of relationships and exploring her past, Kitty will likely continue her journey into self discovery with what is set before her.
