Bleach is well-known for having an enormous cast of characters—far too many to mention here. Nearly every Japanese voice actor from the original Bleach Anime has so decided to replay their part for The Thousand- Years Blood War. With a few exceptions, the English dub cast has also generally been the same. Alain Mesa is playing Ichigo's pal Yasutora "Chad," instead of Jamieson Price. Price said on Twitter that he wanted the position passed on to someone with Mexican background, like Chad, and that request was honored.

Also recast and currently performed by Patrick Seitz, who also voices Ichigo's father in Bleach, Kenpachi Zaraki Doug Erholtz, who also voices Gin Ichimaru, is currently playing Kisuke Urahara; apparently, his former voice actor withdrew from the business. Aleks Le now voices Jushiro Ukitake, also voicing Shinji Hirako. While other parts could be recast in Part 2, most relevant characters have already been brought back in Part 1, hence there isn't much need for that. Thus yet, there has been no word of casting for new roles in Part 2; most likely, this will not be for the dub until after the subtitled episodes start to premiere.
