Why Is Negan Returning to Being Evil in The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 2?
In the first season of The Walking Dead: Dead City, Negan worked hard to remain on the right side of events even helping Maggie save Hershel. But it appears that the Negan we knew is returning and is once more swinging barbed-wire bat!
Why must Negan be compelled to be a villain?
Leading Manhattan surviving group member the Dama is the major baddie in Dead City season 2. The Dama wants to take advantage of Negan's prior leadership of the Saviors since she believes his vicious streak will enable her to prevail in the resource-grabbing battle. Negan finds himself in a tough situation; if he doesn't turn toward his evil side, the Dama might not hang around.
Why does Negan welcome his darker side?
Though he has been striving to be a better man, it appears that some of the violent and powerful Negan from past is resurfacing. He seems to have an always lurking dark side ready to surface. It might also have to do with what happened to Maggie, who in the first season actually betrayed Negan and lacked real trust in him. Considering it. Perhaps Maggie's treachery set off some resentment and hurt in Negan, which increased his sensitivity to the Dama's influence.
Can Negan Revert to Being a Good Guy?
While Negan could be embracing his wicked nature in season 2, we cannot overlook all the development he has done over years. He has proven he can be decent, and he still possess that golden heart someplace. He might finally reject her and find his way back to the light even if he is portraying the bad guy for the Dama.
Season 2's Negan will find what?
The Dead City season 2 teaser seems to be a rough ride for Maggie and Negan alike. Hoping to right things following the events of season 1, Maggie is seen trying to save Negan. Negan might have a difficult fight though, since he is returning to his former ways. Will he be able to return to the light or will he be an evil always? Only time will indicate!
What about Maggie? Her Future:
Maggie seems determined to help Negan, but will she be able to persuade him he should stop acting as the villain? It will be rather difficult.
