Must-See TV Shows Arriving in November
The Day of the Jackal (Premieres November 7th on Sky Atlantic/NOW (UK), November 14th on Peacock (US))
This action thriller, based on Frederick Forsyth's novel and a 1973 film adaptation, stars Eddie Redmayne as a deadly assassin and Lashana Lynch as the MI6 agent determined to stop him. This modernized take keeps those edge-of-your-seat moments and explosive action! Redmayne told Vanity Fair that he was particularly drawn to how the character is “both captivating and repulsive at once”, a sentiment easily echoed by this reviewer.
Bad Sisters Season 2 (Premieres November 13th on Apple TV+)
The 2023 BAFTA-winning dark comedy returns! The Garvey sisters face the consequences of their actions regarding their abusive brother-in-law, played by Owen McDonnell. Sharon Horgan's brilliant series involves near misses and plenty of hilarious chaos. Expect more trouble from their newly married Grace; this entire show is made much more enjoyable with some key changes!

Cross (Premieres November 14th on Amazon Prime)
This series based on James Patterson's Alex Cross novels features Aldis Hodge as the titular detective and forensic psychologist and already promises huge amounts of compelling thrillers. With two prior successful films adapted from these books starring Morgan Freeman, this should really capture everyone's attention; particularly considering the generally well-received One Night in Miami, this adaptation makes sense; although whether or not it would completely measure up remains completely debatable, yet this should really attract those audiences for a unique police procedural drama that’s unlike anything currently offered!
Dune: Prophecy (Premieres November 17th on HBO Max (US), November 18th on Sky Atlantic/NOW (UK))
This highly anticipated prequel series to Denis Villeneuve’s Dune movies centers around the Bene Gesserit, showing their origins with Emily Watson and Olivia Williams as its founders! Fans of those movies already know just why this one has the necessary ingredients needed for compelling science fiction!
Landman (Premieres November 17th (US), November 18th (UK) on Paramount+)
This new series is from Taylor Sheridan’s universe (creator of Yellowstone); focusing on the world of Texas oil fields and explores the conflicts between “roughnecks and wildcat billionaires”, it’s going to be an extremely unusual series. Billy Bob Thornton and Jon Hamm star! Plus Andy Garcia, Ali Larter, and Demi Moore! It's also billed as a soapy drama—an unexpected combination which promises those moments that soap operas and other dramatic narratives both have! Prepare to become instantly obsessed.
Interior Chinatown (Premieres November 19th on Hulu)
Jimmy O. Yang stars in this witty action dramedy adapted from Charles Yu's novel! This satire on those deeply set issues involving Asian representation, which directly addresses those prevalent Asian stereotypes and the difficult circumstances experienced, this adaptation from that acclaimed novel makes this an easily accessible experience.
A Man on the Inside (Premieres November 21st on Netflix)
Based on an Oscar-winning documentary; Ted Danson stars as a retiree who goes undercover in a nursing home! That amazing combination involving this specific star, coupled with that interesting mystery surrounding investigation creates those narrative hooks for compelling storytelling!
Get Millie Black (Premieres November 25th on HBO Max (US), 2025 on Channel 4 (UK))
Marlon James (author of A Brief History of Seven Killings) created this Jamaican-set crime drama! It explores crime, solving with social commentary and showcases an intense narrative. The addition of some well-known faces in television, particularly from critically acclaimed British thrillers, adds credibility to this already expected and widely promoted production.
The Madness (Premieres November 28th on Netflix)
Colman Domingo stars in this thriller, following a television commentator whose world explodes after being framed for murder! Domingo says it examines shifting beliefs, a “mad” world which makes this already-hyped suspense series into something that is sure to engage plenty of people. That high-stakes thrill combined with intense moral challenges makes this a potentially highly critically acclaimed show which many viewers would want to see; this unique plotline makes this unlike many contemporary crime dramas; and those political implications that directly and clearly interact with present society make this very contemporary even though it’s also unrelated to the times the setting depicts.
The Agency (Premieres November 29th on Paramount+ with Showtime)
Based on The Bureau, this intense thriller adaptation stars Michael Fassbender as a CIA agent grappling with his identity after many years undercover. It’s set to bring the tense espionage and incredible mystery aspects from the original series and adds many highly notable names to cast. This adaptation is going to make this unlike other action thrillers.
