The Mistborn series from the brilliant mind of author Brandon Sanderson is a well-loved high fantasy series. And it is being considered to become one of the first films to make its way to the screen! That means audiences will finally get to experience all of the great elements of these amazing books!

It looks like Sanderson has even been open about how these epic fantasy stories might translate into an awesome "film" but he's been silent for some time now, since 2023, which is unfortunate as fans really want this. He suggested, too, that a series, could happen.

One Romance That Might Get Cut!

If you are familiar with this awesome world of Mistborn. This series might have its shortcomings and fans will want to stay in touch with any new, compelling adaptations that come out! There's one storyline in the Mistborn books that may have a very big challenge if it gets made into a film. A major challenge! What is this? The romance between Breeze and Allrianne!

When you really get into these books! It looks like many of the other romances in Sanderson's series work, making audiences happy! For Breeze and Allrianne, it may be more complicated and if the film does ever get the go ahead.

Here is one good possibility that this love story might just be out! It appears that it's too problematic. It just wouldn't fly in today's modern world, especially considering it was already somewhat uncomfortable as it was when it appeared in the books! You might have even been a bit thrown off when you saw this specific pairing!

Why They Are Uncomfortable Together

In these stories, there is a rather awkward dynamic. Breeze is considerably older, making this dynamic not so easy to digest.

The main issues come in the age gap, which would make a modern movie even more jarring!

This might give audiences a tough time to root for this. That means it would be difficult to make this into a convincing and authentic romance! To bring things to a greater sense of realism and reimagine how these characters could work it's an absolute certainty the film wouldn't be able to showcase a character, Allrianne, who still remains younger. It wouldn't work in this kind of world as her age is a crucial part in these books and she was portrayed to showcase some amazing feminine attributes, including Allomancy!

It seems this is another important detail for this complex storyline! It looks like there's a major conflict at the heart of "Mistborn.", one that would be even harder for viewers! You see Allrianne uses her Allomancy powers to get Breeze to become attracted to her, something that really has audiences going "wait a minute!" and might even leave them confused.

It may be a storyline that could add more elements of complexity but the potential backlash might be just as much. So the chance for it being left out, could actually work out great!

For audiences that really are immersed in these stories they know how powerful and creative the Mistborn world is.

As the Mistborn series evolves with Sanderson bringing in more stories for "The Cosmere" we're sure to have another chance to dive deep into more awesome book and movie moments, if Sanderson's ideas do come to life!

And to make things even better, the world of fantasy books will just get a whole lot more exciting.
