The Acolyte's Yord Fandar is equally relevant as a major "try-hard," eager to prove his usefulness as a Knight, much as Andor's Syrl Karn who fervently tried to prove his value to CorpSec and the Imperial Security Bureau. No finer scene captures this side of his nature than one in which Yord is meticulously steaming his Jedi robes as Master Sol and his Padawan Jecki Lon arrive onboard their Jedi shuttle. Promising to atone, Yord is obviously a by-the-book Jedi who is rather proud of his new Jedi Knight title.
Yord still has a lot of appeal even if he is strict and wants to abide by all Jedi Order regulations and ideals. Given his development into such a remarkable figure thus far in The Acolyte, it makes sense. Seeing where Yord Fandar travels next as he and his fellow Jedi carry on their quest against dark forces rising from the shadows will also be highly thrilling.
With its two-episode launch, the Acolyte is at last here and Star Wars aficionados are already claiming one of their preferred characters. Yord Fandar (Charlie Barnett) has become a key standout as seen in the live-action series first two chapters; he was one of the first freshly minted Jedi to start looking at the murder of a Jedi Master. Fandar's supporters have so already started to gather virtually following the premiere's release.
