Meghan and Michael Nelson were the original stars in this epic. It only lasted until 1994, then Abigail would make it back on to the show again!
Paige and Ryanne Kettner appeared between 1994-2001. They played "Abigail" for another stretch! It wasn't the final iteration, as another actor took her on!
Megan Corletto was on-screen for this memorable role and a memorable period that began in 2001!
Jillian Clare made it into the DOOL cast during the years 2003-2004.
Ashley Benson stepped up to this character in 2004. That would be Abigail's longest run of those who appeared in those days. This brought her to 2007.

How Abigail Was Killed

The character seemed to be gone, which gave a lot of emotional moments to the story. It was truly heart-wrenching to watch this all go down, and audiences felt the weight of her disappearance.

"Chad," a major character played by Billy Flynn. Abigail's beloved husband! This actor gave everyone a sense of despair as he thought Abigail was gone forever, only to learn later on it might be possible she's back. As this character mourned his wife. Abigail met a sad fate!

Chad, heartbroken and stunned, rushed her to the hospital to help.

As she tried to fight to live, she muttered a single sentence about a "knife,", a tool that caused the major pain that would end up taking her life. It was a dark moment for the entire audience. The world felt so strange at that point, and to understand why she died it brought everyone to a stand still, not realizing the future that lay ahead.

A New Twist For The Audience:

While audiences could feel the emotion! And those watching couldn't help but get caught up. A surprise took place, that gave everyone hope! The real Abigail Deveraux made her Return, showing that her life was a story with so much more. All thanks to Clyde!
