How did Sol break the Lightsaber?
Sol weakened Qimir with a very awesome lightsaber technique in The Acolyte's season finale. But was trying this a dangerous endeavor? The split is as follows:
Sol discovered that Qimir's lightsaber was rather similar to a lightsaber variant. We're talking about a lightsaber that is more than simply a weapon—rather, it's a sophisticated techy gadget. Sol understood they could screw with the techy components and make the lightsaber go poof (or at least incredibly feeble) if they struck it just right.
Though it was quite dangerous, Qimir would have been completely ready for the kill should Sol miss. Still, Sol really nailed it! Qimir was all twisted up when they precisely hit the Lightsaber. This presented Sol with an opportunity to save the day and flee.
Was Sol's Lightsaber Move Previously Seen?
Was Sol's lightsaber action thus entirely novel? One cannot say for sure exactly. We are discussing a galaxy quite far away, right? Thus, there might be all kinds of really hidden motions yet unknown.
Still, it was clearly a novel action not seen in Star Wars. It demonstrates how many opportunities there are still in lightsaber fighting. Maybe Sol will teach some other Jedi this move in the future, so this lightsaber skill is quite well-known!
Why Was Qimir's Lightsaber Weak?
That Qimir's lightsaber had a flaw is really fascinating. What's the situation with that?
Well, it appears that Qimir's lightsaber served purposes beyond mere weapon capability. Qimir also depended on some sort of unique techy gadget for their powers. Actually, the weakness was a built-in safety mechanism designed to be triggered should someone strike the proper area.
Therefore, it was not because the lightsaber was badly constructed; rather, it possessed a unique quality that rendered it vulnerable in a certain manner. Whoever created the lightsaber may have included this capability, either for security concerns or to stop its use.
