How Old Is The Stranger in The Acolyte?
The Acolyte has been dropping clues about Manny Jacinto's mysterious Sith Lord, and some of them point to a shocking truth about his age. Now, the episode "Teach/Corrupt" has us wondering: Is he much older than he looks? Let's dig in!
The Stranger (his real name is still a mystery) is a former Jedi who's now a full-on Sith Lord. He tells Osha he was a Jedi a "really long time ago," which is a huge hint. She joined the Jedi Order 16 years before the events of The Acolyte. If he was around then and she doesn't remember him, that's a seriously long time!
The Stranger's scar could also be a clue. It looks like it could've been caused by a whip. And guess what? That's the weapon of Jedi Master Vernestra Rwoh, who's 116 years old! If the Stranger is older than Rwoh, who knows how long he's been around?
Did The Dark Side Give Him Eternal Youth?
Darth Sidious was all about messing with life and death, right? He used the dark side to extend his life through cloning and essence transfers. There are tons of other Dark Side users in Star Wars lore who can make themselves live longer. The Stranger's knowledge of the Dark Side makes it totally possible he found a way to keep himself young. If he's been around for centuries, that could be some serious power!
We're still waiting to see the full extent of the Stranger's power, but his age is already a mystery. It looks like the The Acolyte is going to keep us guessing.
