The Nine Voyages: A Corlys Velaryon Prequel

Another Game of Thrones spinoff currently in production is "The Nine Voyages," which serves as a prequel to both House of the Dragon and Game of Thrones. This series will document Corlys Velaryon's fabled sea expeditions.

Reaching House of the Dragon

While "The Nine Voyages" will offer backstory and explore the character of Corlys Velaryon in greater depth, it's unlikely to directly impact the events of House of the Dragon, as the events of the series already occurred.

Widening the universe of Westeros

The series is expected to provide a deeper understanding of the Velaryon family and their influence on the history of Westeros, offering a new perspective on the world established in Game of Thrones.

Other Upcoming Game of Thrones Spinoffs

The success of House of the Dragon has solidified the demand for more Game of Thrones spinoffs. HBO is actively developing several new projects that further expand the lore and history of Westeros.

Aegon's Conquest: A Targaryen Origins Story

A Targaryen-focused prequel currently in development is "Aegon's Conquest," which will tell the story of Aegon the Conqueror, the ancestor who united the Seven Kingdoms under Targaryen rule. The series will delve into the origins of the Targaryen dynasty and their rise to power.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Tales of Dunk and Egg

Based on George R.R. Martin's novellas, "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" is set to premiere in 2025. This series will take place between House of the Dragon and Game of Thrones, exploring the adventures of Dunk and Egg, a knight and a young Targaryen prince.

More to Come?

While there are many rumored spinoffs and projects that have been shelved, it's clear that the world of Westeros is rich with stories to tell. Fans can expect to see more exciting additions to the Game of Thrones universe in the years to come.
