Heartstopper Season 3: Where Is Olivia Colman?

Heartstopper has had audiences hooked for two seasons and those who watched it have become big fans of this heartwarming coming-of-age romance series. The love between Charlie and Nick, in this series based on Alice Oseman’s graphic novel series of the same name, brings back the best parts about teenage romances. And just like those teenage romances in life. Some things never stay the same.

Fans are excited, and now they get to watch another season! With the arrival of the third season there was a noticeable absence.

Many have noticed, or at the very least missed one of the series most memorable and amazing actors: Olivia Colman.

Colman plays Sarah Nelson. Sarah is the mother of one of Heartstopper’s main characters, Nick. In fact, fans were stunned that she was missing and fans wanted to see Sarah Nelson take on her role and show viewers how this character helped out her son.

A little before Heartstopper fans saw this new season, there was the word from Colman that she wouldn’t be making another appearance for the time being. However, the series gave audiences a fresh, new take with even more storylines. The series, still features all of these interesting characters:

Tara (played by Corinna Brown),
Darcy (played by Kizzy Edgell)
Isaac (played by Tobie Donovan),
Elle (played by Yasmin Finney),
Tao (played by William Gao),

Even as this season moves into a bigger part of the story that features a whole new focus for Charlie and his family. Fans, now know why Colman took a step back. It really has nothing to do with this series but the time she had for filming, and scheduling issues!

Those watching Heartstopper for the third time are going to be thinking about the changes! One of the things that fans are always searching to discover. The big moments! Some might even feel it as Heartstopper really dives into Nick and his new sense of home as he spends even more time in the house! Fans really will find themselves trying to figure out what went on as the storyline seems to try and pretend Sarah isn't missing. The new season's most epic event, the "Christmas" episode didn't bother to really make it clear to fans why she wasn't on the scene!

That does not mean that there was a loss of "Sarah" in spirit!

This series has great moments for those who have gone through a similar path to the ones Nick and Charlie, had and their friends have faced! Even if it looks like Sarah might not be on-screen!

A Possible Return For Season 4?

Now, everyone wants to know. A fourth season that looks to wrap it all up!

Oseman, has hinted that Season 4 might be the last. The series, while waiting for Netflix to announce its return has already left viewers wanting to see those major moments, especially as this new season leaves the audience in a heartwarming place for both the main characters and everyone around them. Fans, especially, are ready for Colman's return! That also seems very possible! After the events of Season 3, Nick starts exploring universities! As well, being really excited for what he has! It really creates this question for audiences: will he remain close to Charlie? What’s more, that new relationship between them!

To have this amazing storyline really be fulfilled, it does seem that we will need to get Sarah Nelson's perspective!

It would really be an incredible way to round out the story.

Maybe this means that "Heartstopper" might have the chance to bring back Colman! The series would have its iconic, well-known figures that made this story so well-loved in its previous installments!
