Let's talk about the human stars first! Rose McIver (Sam) has serious acting chops— from early work in New Zealand shows (Xena: Warrior Princess and Legend of the Seeker) to that breakout role in iZombie and starring in Netflix's hit A Christmas Prince series and other high profile works like Woke and even a high profile role in Next Exit; which show just how big her existing star power actually is, demonstrating she's always a major contributor and already well known in various areas of the entertainment business.

Utkarsh Ambudkar (Jay) is just as accomplished: this extremely accomplished actor who has featured in high profile titles like Pitch Perfect; further showing his experience across multiple media productions as an established voice and on screen actor; that experience goes across a vast range, highlighting that even small appearances in projects are critically relevant!

Mary Holland (who brings an amazing new perspective and storyline and will become another big part of that household cast!), brings a blend of quirky charm and unnerving intensity (see Happiest Season) into season 4’s new major and surprisingly mysterious character, a “creepy” Puritan (Patience) who kidnapped Isaac and is unexpectedly charming – this character who adds something really exciting, this adds even more spice into the already-growing ensemble. All these details showcase the incredibly strong writing within this particular TV production!
