What's Going On in "The Temp" From "Futurama" Season 12?
Hold onto your space helmets, Futurama fans! That new episode, "The Temp," in Season 12 on Hulu is connected to a wild, super-old episode! Fans may remember "Amazon Women In The Mood" from Season 3 and those zany space escapades, and guess what? The creators made "The Temp" as a sequel to the whole "Amazon Women in the Mood" thing - wild!
Wait - The Temp is Related to What?
We are getting some insight into the "The Temp." Think of it as that weird temporary worker who is obsessed with taking Fry's spot. But the shocking news is, he has been around before! Turns out, Frank (that's "The Temp" you have to meet!), was hired way back in Season 3. Yeah, that crazy Episode that went off into those dangerous space encounters with those giant, sexy Amazonians. Frank was actually the delivery guy who was left stranded while Fry was on vacation! Remember the Planet Express Crew's "snu-snu" disaster with those big space ladies? Well, Frank actually showed up there!

Why Was "Amazon Women In the Mood" So Controversial?
Fans really love "Futurama," so we know it has had some moments where people don't like it as much! This one - the whole "Amazon Women In The Mood" episode has sparked some debates. In my opinion, there's definitely stuff they could have done better when they were making it! The big issues that got people talkin'? It is kinda a bad joke!
- Some things felt awkward in that episode - for example, when Futurama characters like Kif - got really uncomfortable, but then the story didn't acknowledge that, which felt kind of off.
- When we're talking about "Futurama history," some Futurama fans feel it's got stuff they just don't agree with, about those gender roles, because the creators didn't think a lot about those kind of issues. The writers were aiming for comedy, but we know there are a ton of issues in those stories.
- But it seems like Futurama on Hulu has done a good job of trying to be better at how they are telling their stories in these new episodes. So, if they learned from it, I guess, we just gotta be open about what we don’t love!
