Season 12 of Futurama Fulfills a 24-Year-Old Promise
Season 12 of Futurama has the animated sitcom's trademark absurdity, along with a throwback to an episode from Season 2 called "Anthology of Interest I." The Fing-Longer, a left glove with an enormously extended index finger, is a more low-tech innovation that steals the show in this episode, which centers upon Professor Farnsworth's What-If Machine.

Doblando, Bender's cousin, is also introduced in this episode. He resembles Bender physically and has a characteristic robotic facial hair. Similar to Bender's twin Flexo from Season 2, Doblando's appearance draws attention to the subtle distinctions and parallels between Bender and his robotic counterpart.
Professor Farnsworth keeps coming up with new ideas, such as USB drives that look like teeth and reverse jetpacks. Even though these innovations are frequently overly complicated and unrealistic, they heighten the show's absurdity and hilarity.
