Will Missing You be as successful as other Harlan Coben productions?
Apart from the expected release window disclosure, Armitage's character tease is interesting. Although he didn't go into specifics about his own character, the actor's comments on co-star Rosalind Eleazar enthuse her about her part. Armitage and Eleazar's performance in the theatrical show Uncle Vanya was well-known as it was recorded and shown only to a few chosen venues. Eleazar is a quite obscure actress with great fresh qualities to give, but she has had a few on-screen appearances including those in Slow Horses and The Personal History of David Copperfield.
Though Coben has already produced several Netflix episodes, Missing You has the most pressure to perform out of all of his endeavors. This is mostly because Fool Me Once, the top show on Netflix for the first two weeks of its premiere, was so very successful. Rising above 3 billion viewing minutes on the site by February, the show became one of Netflix's most watched series of all time and marked a significant turning point. Missing You's development was announced following this success.
