Dexter Cast: Their Current Location
The first Dexter series ended more than ten years ago, and the gifted ensemble has starred in many other ventures. While certain well-liked characters made reappearances in the 2021 sequel series Dexter: New Blood, numerous cast members have entered fresh roles on cinema and television. Though it will explore the roots of Dexter Morgan's dark passenger, the next Dexter prequel series, Dexter: Original Sin, will not involve any of the original cast.
Patrick Dempsey has already been cast as fellow police officer Harry Morgan's Captain Aaron Spencer in the prequel series. Dexter's father James Remar performed the part before Christian Slater will be returning it. Slater and Dempsey's intriguing additions point to a concentration on Harry's time working with the Miami Metro Police Department. Familiar names like Angel Batista, María LaGuerta, and Vince Masuka—all of whom were major stars in the original series—will also be brought back.

Carpenter and Hall were wed in real life during Dexter's production, despite their complicated onscreen relationship. Carpenter assumed the lead in the television version of Limitless, based on the 2011 Bradley Cooper film, following the end of the show. She also starred in the 2019 series The Enemy Within and made an episode appearance on the Yellowstone prequel, 1923.
David Yayas
One of the rare performers who showed up in all 96 Dexter episodes was David Zayas, playing Angel Batista. Among the few original cast members who returned to play in New Blood was him as well. Following Dexter, Zayas had a great career acting in the 2014 Annie remake and portraying Sal Maroni in Fox's Gotham series. He then starred in the Netflix series Bloodline and lately had appearances on Blue Bloods and The Blacklist.
