What’s more is the most memorable season of all! If we were going to give the highest honors to the best of all American Horror Story's seasons. The ratings on IMDb would be pretty much unanimous in calling "Asylum" the very best! There’s this intense sense of what a good horror story really has.

Even though it’s a "season." That would really be so far in the past of the show. The question becomes, is there really anything that can beat it! The truth is, not really!

American Horror Story's Steady Decline

While American Horror Story has had some moments where they looked to find that amazing spark! And those seasons might stand out for fans! But for those that don’t feel it the same, and many will attest. The show has seen some dark moments! It has tried to stay relevant!

Many audiences might think season 8, "Apocalypse" brought the show back! The series, and its many story lines. Had this hope, and they put so much time into creating it.

However, in this instance it backfired. That one was not such a hot success! And even those that did like the first few American Horror Story seasons, could not deny the slow decline. The show seems to be missing its early charm!

Ending American Horror Story:

It's an iconic show! But even those with high ratings! This incredible TV show has gained 17 Primetime Emmys over all these seasons.

Fans should know that these accolades really make it something unique!

But in an odd twist. It's just hard to not wonder why the series even still keeps getting released? This has been such a long ride, too! And what was really important, was to make this show successful was talent, and some really talented individuals, including some big-time actors, like Evan Peters, Billie Lourd and Taissa Farmiga .

They brought their A-game! It helped inspire an interest in this type of horror!

The fact that there are new anthology series all across streaming platforms? Those should remind us about the impact this series has had! Yet with some negative reception, what has been interesting, is why this show has continued? You've got "American Horror Story" at the brink! And one could argue this is the right time! To let it go! The idea that they would get more seasons after season 12 was very exciting!
