House of the Dragon Season 2, Episode 7: FAQs
What happens with the Dragonseeds in this episode?
This episode focuses on finding dragonriders among those not related to the Targaryen family. It's a super exciting story that gives us some brutal action and some magical fantasy stuff. We get to see how powerful the dragons are and also how much we still don't know about them. It's really cool how the show delves into the nature of the dragons and their bond with their riders.
How does Rhaenyra play a role in the Dragonseed story?
Rhaenyra is a big part of the episode, and we see her confront Addam of Hull. The episode really examines the Targaryen belief that they're special and how that relates to the dragons themselves. You see it with Vermithor, the Bronze Fury, who goes crazy before choosing Hugh as his rider. It shows how dangerous and awesome those dragons are.
How about Daemon's storyline?
Yeah, Daemon's story continues with his creepy visions and stuff. Some people have been complaining about that part, but I actually like it. This week, we get to see how it all pays off, especially with Oscar Tully, who actually holds his own against Daemon. It's a great scene because Daemon isn't in control for once, which is unusual for him. But honestly, I'm hoping we've seen the last of his visions and we can just focus on Daemon's real-life story now. Let's see what he does next!
What about King's Landing in this episode?
King's Landing isn't as big a part of this episode, but we still get some good stuff. Alicent is amazing, and I loved that scene with her at the lake. It shows how much she's trying to find some peace and get away from everything. We also see the relationship between Larys Strong and King Aegon II getting more interesting. Aegon is becoming more active and aware, which is great because it lets Tom Glynn-Carney really shine as an actor. These scenes remind me a lot of Game of Thrones, and that's a good thing!
Were there any parts of the episode that you didn't like?
Honestly, there were a couple of things that bugged me a little. It wasn't really clear how much time passed when Aemond and Vhagar were chasing after Ulf and Silverwing. And they had Corlys and Alyn talking in the same shipyard again, which got a little repetitive. It's probably just something they did to make filming easier, but it stood out. But honestly, the good parts of this episode totally outweigh the bad, so I'm excited about what's to come in the finale!
When does the House of the Dragon finale air?
The finale of House Of The Dragon season 2 will air on Sunday, August 4th at 9pm ET on HBO and Max.
