The CW Network Changes Involving Shift from Scripted Programs to Unscripted Content Following The Loss of Network Share
The CW experienced significant change with its network ownership when Nexstar TV acquired the network resulting in a push to save on production costs. Nexstar looked for higher profits focusing on unscripted television options since it’s cheaper to produce than a program with scripts with "Walker" written by Anna Fricke for broadcast on The CW which originally a collaboration between CBS and Warner Brothers. This switch from script to unscripted is what effectively changed the entire direction of The CW.
