Sol & The Sith Lord May Have A Deeper Connection
The Acolyte's been all about the light vs. dark thing, and new Star Wars artwork just made that even more obvious, like, super Yin and Yang. The Acolyte has promised to explore the Jedi and Sith, and episode 5 really delivered. It showed us who The Acolyte's Sith Lord is, and it had the biggest Jedi massacre since Revenge of the Sith. Along with episode 5, Star Wars added to the whole Jedi/Sith exploration with new artwork.
This new art shared by Star Wars UK shows how the Sith are basically a mirror image of the Jedi, like the other half of the picture, you know, like Yin And Yang. The artwork also includes a quote from the artist, Daniel Clarke.
Sol Might Be Hiding A Secret
The artwork and quote make it super clear that The Acolyte is portraying the Sith Lord as the Yin to the Jedi's Yang. But it might also be hinting at a secret about Sol. The artwork features Master Sol and Qimir's hands and lightsabers, which is interesting, since Qimir is the Sith Lord and Sol is the only Jedi who survived the massacre. This might mean there's a hidden connection between them. There's also the possibility that this Yin and Yang thing is hinting that Sol isn't a perfect Jedi. Yin and Yang are all about how there's always some darkness in the light, so maybe Sol has some hidden darkness within him.
The Acolyte doesn't go as far as to say the Sith and Jedi should coexist. Especially not after what happened in episode 5. But the parallels are definitely there.
What's The Connection Between Sol & Qimir?
The art is clearly about the Jedi and Sith, but it might also be hinting at a connection between Master Sol and Qimir. During their fights in episode 5, there were a few things that suggest these two might have a history. Sol said he felt something familiar when he was talking to Qimir, who's also known as The Stranger. Qimir also kept referencing Sol's dark past. It seems like The Stranger knows a lot about Sol's history. Maybe they knew each other from Brendok, the planet Mae and Osha are from.
There are still a lot of unanswered questions about Sol and Qimir, but the artwork might be giving us a clue about what's going to happen. The whole Yin And Yang thing could be a sign that Sol is more complicated than he seems. Whatever happens, it looks like these two are going to have a big showdown before The Acolyte is finished.
