Superman & Lois Finale: Lex Luthor Actor Michael Cudlitz Spills the Tea!
Superman & Lois: Lex Luthor Actor Michael Cudlitz Teases That Epic Finale!
Hold onto your capes, DC fans! Michael Cudlitz (Lex Luthor in Superman & Lois) gave us a sneak peek at that upcoming finale! The CW's superhero saga is ending soon after that emotional rollercoaster ride following Superman's death in earlier episodes – it was already intense! Now things are about to get even crazier with Lex still targeting Superman's family. This means we can all anticipate even more challenging times in Smallville. It also leaves viewers wondering about the fate of those characters involved; including that potential final showdown that many are hoping for. This article covers some massive spoilers – turn away now if you want to avoid them.
We chatted with Cudlitz about Superman & Lois season 4, especially episode 3 (Clark's resurrection!). We pressed him on that potential Superman vs. Lex showdown—this legendary confrontation that almost everyone anticipates will actually occur eventually and when asked if Cudlitz is happy with his Lex Luthor arc, he offered tons of praise for that upcoming final episode, with the specific mention and tease for long-time fans who may have anticipated some things and a key promise for long-time fans.
Cudlitz's Hints: Fan Service, Emotional Arcs, and Lex's Battle Armor!
Here's what Cudlitz had to say about that upcoming finale: "I'm thrilled with where we went. I feel the finale is - as someone who became a fan of the show - wonderfully wraps up the entire story that we're telling. An incredible amount of fan service is done to all of these characters and the fans, so no one feels left out. Everyone has an incredibly satisfying arc and resolution in the show, plus it's [an] incredibly emotional arc for the entire series, not just the individual characters, the family, as to where they go on the journey, and where the boys wind up in their relationship with their dad, mom and with everyone else in the show. [I] couldn't be happier with the show, and could not be happier with what they did with, I feel, an incredibly detailed, very specific, 'What If...? ' story with Lex. Starting from what if Lex was his driving force was pain from his loss of his daughter. How would that resolve, and how would that collide into the world of Superman & Lois and what would/could be the resolution of that? Based on everything we know, and wonderfully tying in the comics and the suit, which we've seen in the trailer, we know that's coming: how do we get back to the Lex that is now from the Lex we started with who was this prisoner for 17 years and became who he had to become to survive in prison. How does he reestablish himself back in the world and take over the life that he had prior?"
This means a lot! It's a promise of an incredibly satisfying and emotional conclusion! This is even better, because that famous battle armor (spotted in a recent trailer) will also play a part – this alone will already make the entire show better; because some people specifically expected this. This cleverly uses the narrative elements related to Lex's incarceration and demonstrates how Lex’s journey becomes even more complicated as we reach its very end. And yes, he hints that fans of this franchise will be happy with it and this should also increase anticipation amongst fanbase members. And for those people who enjoyed this series: He completely promises that we're going to be pleased. It is something people can definitely hope for!
What We Can Expect: A Fitting End to a Shortened Season
Superman & Lois’ success surprised everyone, however this final season is strangely only getting ten episodes! That is incredibly short given the scope and nature of its narratives and those plot points revealed in earlier episodes. But it's clear those involved have not simply thrown things together. The creative staff handled those intense limitations with care – they actually managed to include plenty of characters for these short installments; which has already set the audience up perfectly to understand just why this was critically well-received; and the fact that the story includes so many details – including things such as The Death of Superman arc all in one season is nothing short of remarkable. It demonstrates those really surprising achievements that shows the capabilities of people creating some seriously high-quality material.
Conclusion: Get Ready for an Emotional Farewell to Smallville!
The changes in the cast are well-known: Yet the promise of closure for those characters in that final season is good to hear. It is also rather satisfying, to be honest, and especially for long-time fans. Cudlitz's comments leave you to anticipate that amazing blend of emotion and action; as Lex, Superman, and the entire ensemble finally resolve many aspects that have gone unresolved throughout those entire seasons.
With only seven episodes remaining in Superman & Lois, those few final moments, these are intensely-awaited moments – viewers can finally experience a completely satisfying conclusion. And we are in for one hell of a ride! Remember, Mondays at 8/7c on The CW–don’t miss it! This is one ending not to be missed; the potential alone is something viewers and fans already look forward to, and the hype alone makes the impending events almost impossible to ignore. It is absolutely necessary for long-time viewers and anyone hoping for more content in this niche!
