Fans of the Emmy-nominated spy thriller Slow Horses are eagerly awaiting the next season! After the shocking events of season 4, the show's future looked uncertain. But there's good news, season 5 is almost ready.

Slow Horses Season 5 Update:

Will Smith, the showrunner and executive producer of Slow Horses, gave an update, in an interview with Collider, to ease our worries, saying that filming is almost wrapped with only a few days of shooting left, as of 2024. What is equally compelling is that the team has already moved on to editing the footage and is expecting to release season 5 sometime in 2025.

What To Expect From Season 5:

Based on what has been given to viewers, season 5 is going to be a unique experience as this installment, it's going to be the adaptation of London Rules from Mick Herron's books! There's another character that's stepping forward Christopher Chung will be highlighted. For the first time as he plays Roddy Ho. The preview shows River Cartwright (played by Jack Lowden) has the potential to be paired up with Louisa Guy, (played by Rosalind Eleazar)! A really interesting romance!

What could this really mean? It's tough to say without more context, but based on what Smith had said, viewers will not be waiting forever and a date could appear earlier than expected for fans. For many shows the typical wait is about six months. With the new installments it is about a year's gap. Since Slow Horses isn't necessarily tied to these same schedules we will just need to watch this space.
