Season 3 of Euphoria will not be about high school; new setting transforms everything.

Euphoria Season 3 Being Set Away From High School Changes The Show's Premise

Changing Euphoria from High School into the actual world will fundamentally alter the idea of the play. Its high school environment defines it from the first. It's all about reckless youngsters and the blunders they make when they have too much time on their hands and lack enough life experience to know any different. The most dramatic changes in the series' narrative occur at high school celebrations; the shocking Euphoria season 2 climax centers on Lexi's self-aggrandizing performance, only feasible by a high school theater ensemble.

It seems sense to have a time jump into the future as Zendaya and her co-stars are all past the age they would still be convincing as high students. But it might not feel like Euphoria if they are no longer in High School. The program will be quite different if season three transports the characters past high school into their adult years. Though it could feel more like Desperate Housewives than Euphoria, its cast will consist of the same people doing the same roles.

The New Setting of Euphoria Season 3 Can Work, But Still Has Great Risk.

Not always a death sentence for the show is bringing Euphoria Season 3 to a fresh location. Investigating where these people wind up following high school graduation and adjusting to adult life could be fascinating. Furthermore, since the new location of the series has not yet been selected, it is a little premature to say that a post-high school season 3 will be the end of the series. Bloys claims that Levinson hasn't yet decided on the new location of the show even though he knows he wants Euphoria taken beyond high school.

Two choices Levinson is still debating, Bloys says, "where to set it" and "how far in the future to set it." Stuck rather closely to Euphoria's original concept, he might choose to just leap a few years into the future and portray the college experiences of the characters. Alternatively, he might depict Rue as a drug dealer, Cassie as a single mother, and Nate as a somewhat poisonous suburban dad ten years into the future. There are many several ways it might go wrong as well as many alternatives.

The Original Premise Of The Show Is Totally Changing Under Sam Levinson's Euphoria Season 3 Plan

Originally envisioned as a dark and twisted high school series, creator Sam Levinson's idea for season three will make Euphoria a quite different show. Euphoria's second season ran over two years ago, and ever since then, there has been a lot of conjecture about what the much awaited third season might look like. False assertions about cast members refusing to return and a strangely precise rumor about a rejected Season 3 narrative that would have made Rue a private investigator and/or a surrogate mother have been abound.

HBO CEO Casey Bloys has addressed Euphoria season 3 to fight these reports. He first verified that the third season will have "the same core cast" as the first two seasons. Bloys especially mentioned Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, and Hunter Schafer as four important cast members returning in season three. He said Levinson is attempting to decide where the show should next move, which is why there is a wait. Bloys mocked, "He doesn't want to have it in high school anymore," thus the difficulty is choosing a new location.

The Change in Euphoria Season 3 Actually Is Positive

Using a rather different strategy for Euphoria season 3 could turn out to be a fantastic one for the future of the program. Season 2 lacked the charm of the first season, hence the reaction to it was far more mixed than that of season 1. The show felt more like a very well-shot soap opera than a real prestige TV drama; the narrative was far more loose, the characters felt a bit less consistent. Season 2 showed that trying to recapture lightning in a bottle, doing more of the same, is useless.

Pursuing season 3 outside of high school allows Euphoria to totally reinterpret itself. Where all the fan-favorite characters wind up in the real world will be fascinating to find. Euphoria's first season attracted viewers since it was a major swing. Season 3 might be just as large of a swing with a different environment and a time jump. Though at least they will be different issues, season 3 could have just as many as season 2.

Euphoria: A Rewind

Sam Levinson's teenage drama Euphoria stars Zendaya, Maude Apatow, and Angus Cloud. The show explores the sinister reality of a drug-addled adolescent navigating many difficulties and concerns on her route to rehabilitation.

The show is known for its honest depiction of adolescent difficulties. This has made Euphoria rather well-liked among its audience. The show has also been hailed for its real character representations, elegant images, and gripping narratives.
