Sasha Alexander Reunite for spinoff New Photos with "NCIS" cast.

Sasha Alexander Reunites With DiNozzo & Ziva Actors Ahead Of Their NCIS Spinoff New Photos

But before they make their comeback on the television screen, Weatherly and de Pablo host an NCIS rewatch podcast including newly guest-starved Alexander. View their cute reunion pictures from Alexander's Instagram below: Alexander's most recent visit on the just launched NCIS rerun podcast captured the images. Titled Off Duty: An NCIS Rewatch on Spotify, this new project has Weatherly and de Pablo interviewing several former or current franchise players.

NCIS is not slowing down after almost twenty years on the air. Apart from the divisive cancellation of NCIS: Hawai'i, the world as a whole is still flourishing with some spin-offs on route. That includes a reunion project with Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo replaying their roles as Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David and NCIS: Tony & Ziva spinoff, which will stream on Paramount+ instead of broadcast on CBS.

Could Alexander's Kate Todd Still Show Up in NCIS Universe?

Kate Todd was unexpectedly killed in the NCIS season 2 finale almost twenty years ago. Her entry to the bureau set off the CBS police procedural events. She was supposed to be with the Major Case Response Team for some time, hence her horrible murder was quite startling. NCIS' 1000th episode recently revisited her death. Though there were hopes that Alexander would come back to record fresh scenes despite the death of her character, the production solely made use of archive footage. That said, a comeback is not off the menu entirely.

Regarding returning her after Kate's death, NCIS previously set a precedent. Following Ari's horrific murder two years ago, Alexander came back for the first two episodes of season 3 as the crew struggled with her untimely passing. Her scenes resembled projections of her rather than flashbacks. This was important evidence of her drama-free departure from the police procedural, which hasn't always been the case for these long-running shows. Beyond that, Alexander can replay Kate as a hallucination should NCIS season 22 try to bring her back.

NCIS: An Examining Look at the Series

Naval Criminal Investigative Service, or NCIS, emphasizes the sometimes complicated and always entertaining dynamics of a team compelled to cooperate under great pressure. The NCIS team consists of NCIS Special Agent Timothy McGee, an MIT graduate with a knack for computers who has lately graduated to senior field agent; the charismatic, unpredictable and resilient NCIS Special Agent Nicholas “Nick” Torres, who has spent most of his career on solo undercover assignments; and sharp, athletic and tough NCIS Special Agent Jessica Knight, a formidable REACT agent specialized in hostage negotiations and high-risk operations. Running the morgue and having progressed from assistant to fully licensed medical examiner, the naive Jimmy Palmer is helping the team; and forensic scientist Kasie Hines, Ducky's former graduate assistant. NCIS Director Leon Vance, a brilliant, highly skilled agent constantly dependable to upend the established quo, is in charge of supervising activities. From murder and espionage to terrorism and stolen submarines, these special agents look at all offenses involving Navy or Marine Corps affiliation.

A surprising update on Pauley Perrette years after she departed the serial greatly raises Abby Sciuto's prospects of returning to NCIS.

What Not to Expect

Apart from bringing Kate back on the show, NCIS can also call Alexander to participate in different capacities. She can lead one of the forthcoming NCIS: Tony & Ziva episodes first of course. Alexander before oversaw an episode of Weatherly's Bull, and she obviously gets along well with de Pablo, so it shouldn't be a problem to pull off.

Part of CBS's 2024–2025 TV schedule will be NCIS returning. NCIS: Tony & Ziva will broadcast on Paramount+.
