Movies News Talk
Ke Huy Quan has talked on his comeback to the MCU after making Ouroboros in Loki season 2 from 2023. Following his Academy Award victory for Everything Everywhere All at Once, Ke Huy Quan joined Loki's cast for the second season of a popular series. Originally a TVA agent and the only employee in the Repairs and Advancement Department, Quan's Ouroboros joined Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, and Sophia Di Martino for the series. Although Ouroboros was a major player in Loki's Phase 5 adventure, his destiny in the MCU is yet unknown.
The revered actor recently spoke to Collider about Ouroboros's future in the franchise, with Loki season 2 wrapping Tom Hiddleston's story as the former God of Mischief flawlessly, but teasing a bigger role for the TVA moving forward in the MCU. His comeback is yet unknown. Quan said he expects audiences would "get to see more of him in either an MCU movie or, ideally, more in the TVA," but he withheld disclosing when he would return.
Having Ouroboros return as the Academy Award-winner would be amazing since it would be much benefit to the MCU. Ouroboros went back to his post in the Time Variance Authority, just rebuilt in the Loki season 2 ending, following a new rulebook combining the information of Ouroboros and Kang the Conqueror variant Victor Timely. Ouroboros may reappear in a hypothetical project looking at the TVA's new objectives since the TVA is on search for sinister variants of Kang the Conqueror and has fresh objectives. Marvel Studios has not acknowledged any such project, yet this might indicate the comeback of not just Ouroboros but also Mobius, Sylvie, and Hunter B-15.
Deadline also mentioned more than 60 MCU characters returning for the upcoming Avengers crossover film, in a recent piece implying Shawn Levy, director of Deadpool & Wolverine, would be in talks to direct Avengers 5. Ke Huy Quan's Ouroboros most certainly may be one of these individuals in the massive ensemble. Ouroboros's crucial role in the TVA would make him a great addition to Avengers 5's massive cast even if Kang the Conqueror is still depicted as an enemy despite the recent dispute and ambiguity.
One of the themes for me in *Loki*, Season 2 is that it's fantastic since this character is somewhat lonely in the beginning and he discovered love and companionship in the most unusual settings. To me, everyone is charming. At the end, we all love Loki, hence that's what I enjoy about both the show and that character. Regarding Ouroboros, man, fingers crossed to see more of him in either an MCU film or, ideally, the TVA. This is a quite large universe. We only see a small portion of the TVA, hence hoping we will see more of that. Ouroboros is also quite knowledgeable, hence I would want to see more of him and his contributions to that realm.
One MCU theory holds that Loki season 2 might have already unveiled the MCU's next major villain, someone much more powerful than Kang the Conqueror. Jonathan Majors' Kang the Conqueror and his variants presented a serious threat to *Loki*; but, his future is unknown when Marvel Studios dismissed him.
Loki star Tom Hiddleston discussed his own return to the MCU in a recent Backstage interview, calling Loki a "splendid torch" he wants to "burn as brilliantly as [he] can." Given the popularity of Marvel Studios' Loki series, it is not hard to believe that Marvel Television would begin filming Loki season 3; should they do, several TVA employees—including Ke Huy Quan's Ouroboros—would be back on screen. The MCU benefits much from the Academy Award-winner, hence Ouroboros' return for additional future adventures would be much appreciated.
