Get ready for a summer of fun, folks! The Phineas and Ferb revival is officially happening and hitting Disney and Disney+ in 2025! This announcement made waves at new york comic con. It revealed that the series, launched back in 2007 on Disney Channel (with that awesome “The Last Day of Summer” finale in 2015) is totally coming back. Many were surprised; the rumors were out but the confirmation and plans for the future were a huge surprise!

The original show ran for over 100 episodes over four seasons, featuring an amazing cast that included Vincent Martella, Dan Povenmire, Ashley Tisdale, Jeff Marsh, Dee Bradley Baker, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Caroline Rhea, and Alyson Stoner; yet only some members returned at first and it wasn’t always clear how that particular group might fit into this much anticipated reboot! Check out the awesome poster revealed during NYCC! It showcases all the key cast members looking their very best. Candace's poised to bust Phineas and Ferb, a callback to the show's classic formula. That stage setup? Expect even more epic songs– this is classic Phineas and Ferb; building excitement. A previous D23 panel already teased one, "Summer is Starting Right Now", promising many new catchy tunes to delight and amaze those listening! And if the poster is really anything to go by – those moments involving songs and those great creative musical sequences seem set to be featured significantly. And for some of us – those awesome songs are some of the better things!

Season 5’s plot will feature 104 more summer days with our amazing stepbrothers– Phineas and Ferb inventing crazy stuff! Candace remains as determined as ever, and our beloved semi-aquatic pal, Agent P/Perry the Platypus is battling Dr. Doofenshmirtz! Those initial key moments; and returning aspects to this particular franchise. That initial overview completely emphasizes the continued core narrative that should deliver an appropriate level of appreciation and continuation without entirely deviating too greatly. The familiar formula is largely confirmed. They're not reinventing the wheel, simply maintaining those iconic aspects that made the original run so brilliant.
