Max Thieriot, the talented actor who played Clay Spenser in SEAL Team for six seasons (over 100 episodes!), recently reflected on this major chapter closing. SEAL Team ended its run with season 7, a massive conclusion for many involved, but mostly the actors themselves and for those audiences.

In an interview with DeadlineThieriot admitted it was tough seeing SEAL Team end— he still keeps in touch with many cast and crew members! He noted just how incredibly impactful that time spent filming had been on his personal life, making it clear how vital the relationships were:  “To see it end was tough. Also it was difficult leaving that show, it has such an incredible cast and crew and just really, really wonderful people. There’s definitely a major case of FOMO where I really felt like, what are these people who I spent every day with, what are they doing?” He notes, however, the lasting impact, highlighting just how incredible it truly had been and its legacy is immense!  It changed his career forever— something made possible through some key decisions: He now has connections and close friendships at CBS Paramount thanks to those long years filming!

But this was so much more than just acting.   Thieriot emphasized just how vital it is for creatives to focus on those behind-the-scenes elements and what those real-life aspects mean! His reflections show that acting wasn't what he felt strongly impacted him – he spoke about the invaluable experience working alongside many military veterans. Their contribution, conveying those untold stories, and providing necessary representation made this “humbling” for Thieriot, changing his life forever and that entire experience “was life-changing for me.”  This makes him committed to using storytelling; adding even more meaning and impact into a world desperately requiring such necessary improvements in narratives. Thieriot's CBS Paramount connections really took off thanks to SEAL Team, providing opportunities across several related projects. He continued this work through Fire Country (premiering season 3 on October 18th), and he also gets to continue this by directing. It doesn't end there, folks; he deeply values the storytelling aspects.  He wants that similar impact seen with veterans; working hard towards supporting firefighters and first responders; these sentiments really showcase his intention; and the underlying desire and thematic purpose inherent in Thieriot's work through his participation on the project itself; adding meaning to those elements.
