His character even made a move leaving the force to work on a new, and secret mission in Bolivia, seeking out powerful, illicit drug cartels. A new show within the Dick Wolf universe means fans of Jesse Lee Soffer can get to see him on screen and play a leading character role in FBI: International. This awesome new part has been announced. He’s taking on Agent Wesley "Wes" Mitchell! He will be leading FBI: International's season 4, premiering on October 15, 2024 at 10 p.m. ET on CBS.

In a special interview with Screen Rant, Soffer gave his take as to why he made this exciting change of plans! It had everything to do with wanting to remain within the world of Dick Wolf productions!

Soffer put it out perfectly: Dick Wolf knows how to produce great TV! With the popularity of this network, you always know it's a good opportunity when you see those big titles. For Soffer the exciting and compelling moments included being able to create a new character and being able to team up with an important creative mind from Chicago P.D., that's none other than Matt Olmstead!

There are many layers here.

Olmstead was Chicago P.D.’s showrunner in the early seasons.
For Soffer it meant having a great time. Creating a fresh new character for a big series.
He'll get to film in Budapest!
