The Boys' creator and showrunner, Eric Kripke, offers a fresh information on a possible visit by Jared Padalecki of Supernatural, as the season five officially marks the end of the Prime Video series. Following a long break, the fourth season of The Boys is on its way, carrying on the fight against Homelander and Vought. Still, Prime Video gave The Boys season five early renewal even before the new season started.
Kripke was asked in a recent interview with Screen Rant whether season five would at last allow Padalecki to show up. After previously declaring that season five will be the show's last, Kripke sent the following update. "I have been emailing Jared; I would want Jared to visit the show for a guest role. Not only because it's exciting to bring Supernatural characters onto the show, but also because I love working with people I love and if I have an opportunity to bring family back and work with family, I will grab it and I have a lot of actors from that show who have truly become family."
Given the numerous DC/Marvel parodies in The Boys universe, Padalecki's performance of someone who could naturally be paired with Ackles' Soldier Boy would probably appeal to fans of Supernatural since it brings the former CW stars together on the same side. If Padalecki shows in Season 5, there are many possibilities. Still, it would be more interesting if they could play in a rather different dynamic.
If the Boys truly wanted to feature the Supernatural star, Padalecki could play one of the other Soldier Boys from the books. Although Ackles' character still exists in The Boys universe, it would be interesting to have Padalecki do the modern interpretation of Soldier Boy. After having spent over two decades playing on-screen brothers, they would share the Soldier Boy moniker and also get to play rivals. Padalecki might also be a unique character not from The Boys comics since the writing crew is not bound to put him in a recognized role. Given Kripke's involvement, regardless of who Padalecki plays, seeing him on The Boys would surely be another huge payback for the Supernatural audience. Hopefully, as The Boys season five begins filming, perhaps later this year Padalecki's possible guest part will be finalized.
Eric Kripke created The Boys as a superhero/dark comic book satire series using the same-named comic book line. The show is set in a "what-if" universe honoring superheroes as gods or celebrities with little repercussions for their actions. One squad of vigilantes under the guidance of a vengeance-obsessed man named Billy Butcher will fight back against these super-charged "heroes," therefore exposing them for what they are.
The sitcom has become beloved by audiences, which fuels great enthusiasm about the regular caustic comedy and storyline shocks across every season. The Boys has also got lot of favorable reviews. Among the various reasons the show is so popular is its capacity to artistically address issues of corruption, power, and the human condition.

The Boys showrunner noted that they are still very early in season five, stating, "We're very, very early in season five, so I don't have a certain character in mind quite yet. Still, I'm shooting for it and I'm just keeping in touch with him so hopefully our calendars line up. [laugh] Indeed, that's great! [When advised to have Jared's character somehow connected to Jensen Ackles' Soldier Boy so they could be together on film once more]
