Billionaire Rupert Murdoch's News Corp has agreed to sell the Foxtel Group which is an Australian pay television service provider to DAZN Group a global sports streaming platform in a transaction that values the Australian pay-tv company at A$3.4 billion equivalent to 2.1 billion dollars. DAZN Group backed by Len Blavatnik will now acquire a large holding of Foxtel’s holdings which shifts global sports broadcasting strategies moving forward.
