A.J. Jarrett (Ines Asserson): A Marine heading to space! We might see a larger role for the US military in future seasons, possibly off-world deployments. This is seriously exciting. New missions on a much larger scale than previously conceived, with an intensity and range of action previously unimaginable for this series. That is huge.
Lily Dale (Ruby Cruz): The youngest daughter of Miles (Toby Kebbell) and Amanda (Shannon Lucio). This is going to be interesting. This passing-of-the-torch moment; passing responsibilities onto newer generations.
Alex Poletov Baldwin (Sean Kaufman): Son of Kelly (Cynthy Wu) and Ed (Joel Kinnaman). Another big one– showing how those children’s lives intersect directly with those existing established characters’ prior stories.

These newbies join existing cast members; and while those characters and existing plots remain uncertain, and these newer members could help provide much-needed generational shifts within those existing dynamics.

Those Alex and Lily arcs, are particularly intriguing, as we can already assume their family will have an important part in future seasons. The final scenes from season 4 had immense suspense, leaving audiences eager to explore and learn the unfolding events after many key characters leave off from many crucial locations and adventures!
