Sarhan's accounts on the 1923 Season 2 directly contradict what has already been documented on the evolution of the show. Two weeks ago, the window for 1923's filming start date was announced to be July. This reveals came from an apparently legitimate source since a City of Austin document indicated July as the month the show would begin filming. The paper continued that the 1923 season 2 would cost roughly $150 million, begin production in July, run through the summer, and conclude up in September.
Sarhan left out the location or date that Filming began for the 1923 Season 2. The first photos might be taken in another city, hence the preceding City of Austin report would not include them. Whatever the case, Sarhan's interview makes it quite evident that SkyShowtime will give the Yellowstone series top attention and has a great deal of faith in it. Said attention might have shown up already in an early filming start date.
Contrary to earlier rumors, an executive for 1923 has claimed that the show apparently started shooting for season 2 with its principal stars. 1923 is the precursor to the highly regarded show Yellowstone, featuring Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford among a star-studded ensemble. Apart from these two performers, 1923 employs Brandon Sklenar, Julia Schlaepfer, Jerome Flynn, Darren Mann, Isabel May, Brian Geraghty, and Aminah Nieves as a supporting cast. Though the series does not yet have a release date, 1923 season 2 has been confirmed following its launch.
Deadline claims that an executive has stated the 1923 season 2 Filming has started. SkyShowtime CEO Monty Sarhan brought this news forward after discussing Yellowstone and its other spinoff shows. Sarhan mentioned Yellowstone as "the biggest show in the world right now" and highlighted the producers' attention on the production. Inquiring especially about 1923, Sarhan remarked, "they are filming a new season right now." View the complete Sarhan quote below:
Among the great stars in Taylor Sheridan's 1923 cast are Helen Mirren, Harrison Ford, Timothy Dalton, Jeromy Flynn, and Brandon Sklenar.
It is evident as the second season of the show starts production that the 1923 cast is dedicated to faithfully bringing the Dutton family's story to life. Given the series is a prelude to the already well-liked Yellowstone, it will attract a sizable audience. And given such a gifted group, 1923 should be a hit with spectators.
Designed in response to the Yellowstone series by Taylor Sheridan, 1923 also follows the Dutton family in 1923. Following the 1883 exhibition, the Dutton family now deals with some of the most significant American events of the century, including the Prohibition era, the Great Depression, and the aftermath of World War I. Star as Jacob Dutton and Cara Dutton, the heads of the Dutton legacy, Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren.
1923 has the elements to be a hit with viewers: a well-rounded narrative, gifted ensemble, and known universe. Given that the show explores a turning point in American history, its historical backdrop adds even more fascination. 1923 is obviously something to keep on eye in the next months.
It will be fascinating to observe how this prioritizing affects the release date of 1923 season 2 as it keeps producing. Audiences will be excited to witness the next chapter of this sect of the Dutton family after the first season of 1923 concluded back in February 2023 Still, 1923 will probably have to wait until at least the wrap-up of Yellowstone season 5, part 2, starts running at the end of this year. 1923 might be pushing for an early 2025 delivery date, but at least will come as soon as needed.

"They are Filming a new season right now, Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren are hard at work."
Given Yellowstone's success, it is hardly surprising that SkyShowtime would want 1923 season 2 out as soon as feasible. Still broadcasting Yellowstone, albeit, it seems doubtful that 1923 season 2 will show before 2024 ends. Though with an early production start date and a committed crew behind the scenes, 1923 season 2 most certainly will have a far shorter turnaround time than the first season.
