Starring the amazing Cate Blanchett and directed by Alfonso Cuarón (the genius behind Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban), Disclaimer is a psychological thriller that just dropped on Apple TV+ in October 2024 and deserves a spotlight!

Blanchett is famous for amazing roles like those in Tár, Carol, and Blue Jasmine! Cuarón is just as famous with directing credits on great movies such as Children of Men and Gravity! Their collaboration has made a truly gripping show.

What Is Disclaimer?

Disclaimer follows Blanchett as Catherine Ravenscroft, a famous journalist, who finds herself as the main character in a new novel! But it's more than just the normal drama, as the story uncovers the deep, dark secrets of her past!

The show features a stellar cast, with Kevin Kline, Sacha Baron Cohen, Lesley Manville and Louis Partridge all giving truly amazing performances.
Cuarón also wrote and directed the series, with the talented Finneas O’Connell scoring the soundtrack.
Disclaimer is based on a book from 2015 called Disclaimer by Renée Knight.

With a 78% score on Rotten Tomatoes and lots of praise for the actors' incredible talent! The series offers so much to viewers! It keeps viewers hooked! What makes this so unique? He had an even harder job as he also wrote this series!

He pulled it off perfectly!

With some high ratings and impressive acting talent this TV show might be missing out. Not many people were aware of this release!

This is something that has happened with many movies. Not just this one! It is something all streaming services are working hard to overcome! These companies produce an insane amount of movies, there simply is not enough money to promote all of the releases and that is why sometimes viewers never know these are available. Disclaimer had an awesome cast! A lot of fans love to follow some well-loved actors. Many people would watch if only they knew this was released!

Apple TV+ Needs a Change

Some speculate Apple TV+ might be to blame as well! It joined the world of streaming pretty late! And compared to the many streaming sites already well established, Apple TV+ needs to find better marketing techniques! Many subscribers are choosing platforms like Netflix! This could be an important lesson! More advertising, might mean a lot more attention. Hopefully, there will still be some fans to uncover this gem.
