Crosshair's narrative will always be a standout from Star Wars.
Among the five mutant clones produced by Kaminoan scientist Nala Se, Crosshair is a brilliant marksman with virtually perfect natural ability. Though he was the only Clone Force 99 member affected by the clone inhibitor chip, he stayed with the Empire for a period even following the implant's removal. Crosshair is obviously headed toward atonement, but one that will bring him back to his brothers.
Whatever praises Baker gets for his performance as Crosshair and the rest of Clone Force 99, this narrative will always be unique in the Star Wars world. Star Wars has tried several different redemption narratives, and some have most definitely landed more than others. Crosshair's, on the other hand, is acquired over the three seasons of the animated series and culminates in the beauty of the 50-minute conclusion.
Just just nominated for an Emmy from Star Wars, the Bad Batch Star Dee Bradley Baker is
Based on his portrayal as Crosshair in season 3, Dee Bradley Baker—the voice of Clone Force 99 in Star Wars: The Bad Batch—has been formally nominated Star Wars' next Emmy contender. Though Baker has long ago brought the clone troopers to life in Star Wars, Clone Force 99 is definitely the highlight of both his range and his expertise; Crosshair's story in season 3 is a fantastic climax of all his labor. The last season of the cartoon show revolves on Crosshair's redemption storyline, and today Baker is getting the deserved credit for it.
Interview with THR showed Baker "is an Emmy contender this awards season for his role as Crosshair." For Baker, who has been nominated for an Emmy before in American Dad, this is rather amazing even if actual Emmy nominations are still quite some distance off. Should he be formally nominated for his Crosshair role, this would mark Baker's first Emmy nomination for a Star Wars part—a long-awaited development indeed.
Examining The Bad Batch Deeper Still
Set after The Clone Wars, following Clone Force 99 (a.k.a. The Bad Batch), Star Wars: The Bad Batch is an action-adventure cartoon series. Now considering them as fugitives of the law, the Bad Batch become mercenaries for hire after escaping the empire and find themselves impervious to the brainwashing effects of Order 66.

Baker's Crosshair Performace
The amazing writing that has evolved over the run of the series is what truly helps to convey this redemption—along with Baker's performance as Crosshair. Although the highly regarded season 2 episode "The Outpost" opened the door for this narrative, season 3 sees it through and it's great to know Baker may earn his due accolades for it. Knowing that Baker and his diligence in The Bad Batch are at least being honored in this way makes any outcome of the formal nominations quite exciting.
Crosshair's salvation is much enhanced by Baker's ability to arouse the true regret and guilt for the deeds he is seeking atonement from. Much of this is enabled by his relationship with Omega and his brother Hunter, whom he obviously still looks to for direction and approval - usually grudgingly so. Omega is the one who helps Crosshair recognize the better sides of himself; when Hunter clocks it too, Wrecker and him both try their best to encourage him back into their family.
Season Three's Influence
The last episode of Star Wars: The Bad Batch closed the series with many of reveals, action scenes, and character conclusions.
There are numerous elements in the show that fans should pay attention as it is scheduled to comeback with yet another installment. Critics as well as fans will still find great appeal in the Bad Batch. Seeing how the show will go forward will be fascinating as it develops.
