Christopher Walken, an 81-year-old, well respected actor known for his many notable and unique roles in both film and television has demonstrated a different approach to modern day viewing in the way he views his shows. He portrays his love for old school traditions through all platforms.
In his most recent series "Severance", where he played Burt Goodman who is the former head of optics at Lumon Industries, he has yet to watch the show via typical digital platforms, he doesn't use them instead. During an interview on a recent Andy Cohen show on SiriusXM he admitted that Apple Tv send his his parts of “Severance” on DVD’s. This is not for a unique preference to older technology as it was due to his self described “lack of equipment”.
Walken stated that he does not subscribe to Apple TV plus. This traditional consumption methods shows that despite having access to streaming he relies on DVDs which sets him apart from modern actors in media. His methods are both practical and shows a different perspective in technology use and engagement.

He showcases a high demand for a market which is seeing a resurgence through different markets and fan support.
The act of using a more traditional form of media such as DVDs while his newer productions stream is something many found both unique and endearing. Even when streaming content like Netflix is topping their charts he still opts for DVDs to experience the things he was a part of.
