Blue Bloods Star considers 14 seasons ending as show hints for a spin-off.

Blue Bloods Perhaps Not Done For Good

This success makes it not shocking that CBS would like to expand Blue Bloods.

Co-CEO Brian Robbins announced during the annual shareholder meeting for Paramount Global, which owns CBS, a new Blue Bloods show is under development. Mentioning already confirmed spinoffs like Dexter and adding in part, "In TV, new franchise extensions are coming for Dexter, Billions, and Blue Bloods," the comments were made in context of stressing the strength of the company's television properties. Still, no formal statement has been issued thus far.

After 14 seasons, CBS is ending the Police Procedural Series Blue Bloods; nevertheless, a recent update makes the cancellation incomprehensible.

Lead by Tom Selleck, the police drama—which also stars Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes, Len Cariou, Marisa Ramirez, and Vanessa Ray—remains popular despite with shifting viewing patterns. With more than 11 million viewers an episode once multiplatform viewing was taken into account, Blue Bloods was the most-watched primetime series on Friday nights as it closes with season 14. Having won its Friday night in terms of total viewers every year since its premiere, it had lately been the third most-watched television series.

Given this success, CBS's desire to expand Blue Bloods is not shocking. CBS has found success in terms of expanding its procedurals, even as long-running popular dramas and comedies are ending mostly due to cost-cutting measures amid shifting strategies and reduced advertising income. As the end of the CBS mainstay comes near, more will probably come to light.

An Interpretive Study on Jackie

Everything has to end, and given the length of time it has been a long time; I find it wise to finish it now. Naturally, I had some fantastic occasions as well as some not so exciting ones. Still, I love Donnie, I met some fantastic people there, and honestly, the fans still ask, "Are you going back to Blue Bloods?!"?" And it's as though it was ten years ago! [ chuckle] It truly warms my heart, so I couldn't get enraged about it. It was good to return.
