Get ready, Avatar: The Last Airbender fans, because Season 2 is officially underway!
Aang's Return
The beloved live-action adaptation of the Nickelodeon classic, which premiered in February 2024 and was quickly renewed for two more seasons in March, is back in production. Gordon Cormier, the actor who masterfully portrays the iconic Aang, recently shared a behind-the-scenes photo on social media, teasing his return for season 2, which began filming in September.
The Iconic Look
The image, shared by the official Netflix Twitter/X account, showcases Cormier with the unmistakable arrow-shaped Airbender tattoo shaved into his head, getting back into character and getting his look just right!
What's Next For Aang?
While this look is undeniably Aang, it's not exactly his final look in season 2. Cormier will likely complete his shaved head soon, for the more intricate tattoo design which was seen in season 1. It also looks like fans will get another surprise, but that means you'll have to wait to season 3 before you can see Aang with a full head of hair, a major element from the original animated series. This new design and story adaptation only shows how detailed they have made this latest iteration of Aang!
