It seems there are huge plans, especially as this is one of the most anticipated series. Fans can't wait as the project's focus is expected to bring a cosmic crossover to Earth!
The Lanterns Series
What's so amazing about Lanterns is its intention to build bridges! It's connecting some truly impressive heroes. This is the upcoming series which stars John Stewart, and Hal Jordan! The DCU continues to grow as James Gunn guides it with its impressive plan for new shows and films, which makes Lanterns, one of the top priorities. There will even be Kyle Chandler showing up as Hal Jordan!
Aaron Pierre's Casting and its Significance
This Warner Bros. Discovery announcement, that dropped on October 9th, 2024 was huge! For Pierre, the actor who plays John Stewart. There’s already excitement as Pierre was attached to another well known universe. However, due to setbacks. Pierre is now at the helm for this awesome DCU series!
For DCU fans? They can't get enough. They haven't seen a live action version of John Stewart. This means he's the very first in live action! That said, a lot of other famous actors are joining. Even before Lanterns kicks off James Gunn's Superman film introduces Guy Gardner, played by Nathan Fillion!
The Green Lantern Corps in the DCEU
The Green Lantern Corps hasn’t been very well-represented in the past DC Extended Universe (DCEU) projects. They barely appeared over 10 years, with the sole Green Lantern who showed up, dying in Zack Snyder's Justice League! It seems that Snyder, tried to bring John Stewart into his series, casting Wayne T. Carr. It turned out, this didn't work out!
Pierre's Career Trajectory
There has always been huge excitement that Pierre would land in a really big role! You see, he was even going to be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), appearing in Blade. However, production hiccups on Blade resulted in his leaving this particular role.
That doesn't mean Pierre's time with superheroes is over. What was meant to be could actually be even better, given Lanterns' production stage! This means there’s a good possibility it might just take center stage soon, especially given the enthusiasm surrounding this show! Fans and moviegoers have huge interest in the world that's expanding in the DC Universe as Gunn steers it all and will add another important moment in their timeline, adding an exciting story for this new era!

It seems DC fans can expect to see more Green Lanterns. And while Pierre might be the next, it doesn’t really end here, there is the potential to have John Stewart become the face of a lot of what’s about to occur and will only build upon what was already an epic moment for fans.
