Cyclops Will Uphold Dream Without Mentor Without His Guide
It was hard to picture Charles Xavier finishing the era as a villain when he helped bring the island country of Krakoa into existence. Still, it is essentially how he positioned himself. He "broke" by choosing to give human life in a transaction that might rescue mutantkind instead of his ideal of peace between mutants and humans. Although his acts might not have been as stunning if they had come from some other leaders, they ran against to everything Xavier focused his life around. Core of the X-Men was coexistence between mutants and humans.
Still for Scott Summers is. Not only has he been a leader for his whole life, ready and eager to perform the hard work to keep his people alive, but he has also consistently shown he is ready to oppose those who lose their path. He challenged the Quiet Council before Krakoa fell, telling them that the X-Men save everyone. As Orchis's scapegoat, he almost gave his life; his presence is so noticeable that Nimrod thought Cyclops would be his last fight. Rather, he will lead his people forward, and X-Men #35 already has him checking out their new home in Alaska.
Scott Summers understands how to keep on despite all the odds.
Simply said, Scott Summers' life is the X-Men. He spent his entire and adulthood supporting the squad, hence in many respects he is more linked to its existence and goals than Xavier himself. Though the circumstances are very different now, Scott's "radical" years, during AvX and Schism, put him in great confrontation with his former master, and he is still showing that he is ready to go forward when Charles is not. For pragmatic reasons, Professor X gave up on his dream; yet, under Cyclops' seasoned guidance, its spirit will endure for the X-Men.

New Role of Cyclops in Marvel Lore Officially Makes Him Xavier's Replacement
Though they will do it without their founder, the X-Men are preparing to start the next chapter of mutant history as the first Krakoan Age draws to an end. Though it is lost on Charles Xavier, Cyclops carries on his own dream. Once more guiding the squad into its new age, Scott Summers has trained his whole life to gather the fragments.
From the Marvel Unlimited exclusive comic Alex Pakndela created from the Ashes Infinity Comic #1 with artwork from Diógenes Neves, X-Men acts as a link between Krakoa and mutantkind's fresh start. One thing becomes quite evident when the X-Men gather: Cyclops is the "inheritor of Xavier's dream."
The X-Men: Their Legacy
Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, the X-Men series revolves around mutants with superhuman skills. Under the capable telepath Professor Charles Xavier, they fight prejudice and evil mutants endangering civilization. Combining action, drama, and nuanced characters—spanning comics, animated shows, and blockbuster movies—the series investigates themes of diversity and inclusion.
The X-Men's destiny was unknown when Charles Xavier decided to strike a bargain compromising human life. Cyclops will be a great leader for the X-Men and carry on the legacy of his mentor as the planet advances into a new century.
Scott Has Always Held Leadership.
Scott has little trouble starting afresh; he has spent much of his life managing some sort of team. The X-Men need something - and someone - to believe in following Orchis, Krakoa, and the resurrection of so many Genoshan mutants. Xavier apparently gave up the peace he once stood for, but Cyclops fights for it still.
