Star Wars: The Jedi Council's Premonition Before The Phantom Menace

To those that have read the book called "Star Wars: The Living Force," a real eye-opening story from John Jackson Miller set about a year before "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace," reveals that a Jedi Council member foreshadowed what was going to take place.

A Powerful Jedi With a Strong Premonition:

That’s right, Ki-Adi-Mundi was on a mission to try and help the galaxy, a leader in the Jedi Order and a Council Member. And with the use of the Force, had a powerful premonition!

He was worried about the Galactic risks in a truly powerful way! Ki-Adi-Mundi was worried about "Riftwalkers" a dangerous group that brought immense harm to the galaxy, as their leader Zilastra created "Regal Voyager" that they wanted to use to attack!

Ki-Adi-Mundi saw that a Sith had infiltrated and had set a strategy to bring harm to everyone in the galaxy! However, that wasn't all he was worried about.

While these Jedi might be very powerful and have great foresight with the Force. There is this constant need to understand the threat of "Darth Sidious," which, by this point, was already showing himself as a power-hungry senator and a powerful leader, well respected as someone to take political and societal issues seriously. What was truly scary about this? Palpatine was in a powerful spot to manipulate those around him to create the galactic havoc that fans see on the screen!

Even the incredible Jedi who understood how much power they had were not aware that someone they trusted had plans of total domination.

An Unheeded Warning:

To the casual observer! They might feel as if "Star Wars" might be about the good guys and the bad guys. The force for evil and the forces of good! However, "Star Wars" has a story of the downfall of the Jedi. While the Jedi failed to see Darth Sidious coming.

But it seems, they completely forgot all about their premonition about the galactic threat that "Darth Sidious" ultimately became. What was so bizarre is that Ki-Adi-Mundi had this really impressive sense of premonition but his words had been dismissed by those he was a part of and it’s something that truly made the Jedi miss an opportunity to stop all of the chaos that took place.

In the movies, the Jedi make a number of errors but ultimately Ki-Adi-Mundi is in a really tragic spot! The Jedi are ultimately blindsided! It might even be argued that they're more responsible for what was happening! It’s something to think about the role of a Jedi and that even a great "Force User" cannot see everything in advance and their blind faith is something that makes for an incredibly, powerful lesson in these stories.
