Pedro Pascal, an actor is well known across film and TV and will continue his work with a leading role as Reed Richards in Marvel's upcoming movie Fantastic Four: First Steps. The film will be a major turning point and addition to Pascal’s growing list of achievements.
The new movie will officially bring "Marvel's First Family" to the MCU. Pascal will play Reed Richards aka "Mister Fantastic" who is central to this plot line with the origin of all the other heros involved. This important milestone solidifies his place in the well loved franchise which makes for an extremely anticipated feature.
This character creates a new unique perspective on being a hero by exploring different family dynamics while simultaneously saving earth from a “ravenous space god Galactus". It all pays tribute to the original 60's comic origins when Marvel first introduced the First Family to the readers in this timeline as well.
In addition to Pascal the cast for Fantastic Four features Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm also known as the "Thing". A notable addition is also the addition of Ralph Ineson as Galactus giving a face to their new powerful villain. These well known actors offer both visual appeal and the quality performance which audiences now have a high expectation of.
This movie will include Julia Garner as a new take on the Silver Surfer's love interest Shalla-Bal. This character has an important link to Galactus. The character’s design has had fans wanting to know if it’ll be done practically or CGI or a combination.
While filming there was a noticeable push for more realistic practical effects which have always given better results when implemented with CG elements for enhancement. This blend gives the movie a level of texture that may make viewers consider what could be more real for a sci-fi universe.
Despite some push for using more practical effects and elements for some parts of the production. Other characters, most notably Shalla-Bal may lean towards computer-generated special effects with hints towards more modern designs within practical based foundations. This hybrid process will be interesting for long time fans to watch on screen.
Pedro Pascal's involvement expands the MCU and marks a notable step in his acting trajectory from more action-based shows to a new territory. This highlights Pascal's versatility as an actor while continuing to build his public image which many continue to gravitate to.
He has played an important part in other highly viewed movies and shows such as "The Last of Us", and the"Mandalorian". Which adds to his previous accomplishments to see the value he creates.
