Movie Deadpool & Wolverine: New Comic Covers & Team-Up 'Weapon X-Traction'.

Uniting for Weapon X-Traction are Wolverine and Deadpool.

Alumni of the covert Weapon X program, a government branch committed to experimenting on mutants to produce live weapons, are Wolverine and Deadpool. While Deadpool was recognized as a failed experiment until Weapon X sought to dispose of him and found his greatly strong healing factor, Wolverine is regarded as the program's best success. Though some degree of respect exists between the two, Deadpool's irreverent, wisecracking demeanor makes him a delightful character to combine with Marvel's ultimate austere loner, Wolverine. Logan has hired Wade many times to work on his covert X-Force team. Weapon X-Traction additional tales and covers are found in the following comics:

Celebrate WOLVERINE's Release with Hilarious Art & New 'Weapon X-Traction' Team-Up Deadpoools.

Marvel is honoring the next Deadpool & Wolverine film with fresh comic cover art and a run of team-up tales called Weapon X-Traction. Fans will be able to view the much awaited film starring Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine on July 26. Still, that's merely the beginning of Marvel's offerings to its readers. Currently following their fight against the enigmatic villain Delta, the team-up miniseries Deadpool & Wolverine WWIII (by Adam Kuber and Frank Martin) promises much more "violent, crass, and chaotic" adventures.

Summertime Weapon X-Traction will show up in eight Marvel Comics. Designed by Javier Garrón and penned by Ryan North, the narrative is doing something a little unique: Marvel's July and August comics will feature Weapon X-Traction's chapters at no additional cost, with those issues also getting dedicated variant covers featuring the Merc with a Mouth and the Best There Is (as well as Dogpool!).

50 Years Since First Added to the Marvel Universe, Perfectly Defining His Journey, Wolverine Just Got His Best Quote of All Time

Regarding the project, author Ryan North notes:

Javier is a really gifted artist who is perfectly balancing comedy, brutality, and major emotions that define Deadpool. It has been a thrill to take him and Wolverine across the multiverse as they attempt to preserve everything - and not murder each other at the same time. I love me a formalist comic, hence this is like a series of small films that also add up to a feature. The fact that this tale will be appearing across hundreds of various Marvel publications in 5-page chunks has been a great challenge too. I truly believe it's something unique.

The inclusion of Weapon X-Traction in current series invites fans of Ryan Reynolds' movie portrayal to check out other Marvel series while still getting a dosage of Deadpool and Wolverine specifically tailored to be read in bite-sized installments. Comic fans will be ecstatic to see Marvel making such an effort to get movie buffs interested in the Comics too. Starting this July, fans may visit Wolverines and Deadpool's latest team-up.

A closer inspection of Weapon X-Traction

Marvel revealed in a recent press release the reading sequence for Weapon X-Traction and the funny variant covers fans should find on comic store shelves. The synopsis of the narrative runs:

The WEAPON X-TRACT backup story will provide readers with a dose of Wolverine/Deadpool action at no additional cost as the pricing of the chosen issues is not changing! Longtime comic book readers are well aware that combined, Deadpool and Wolverine create some of the most craziest escapades ever recorded in the Marvel Universe. With a tired Wolverine and a clinging Deadpool on an epic trip across the Multiverse fighting zombies and gun-wielding librarians and - of course - one another, WEAPON X-TRACT will not be an exception! Perfect for new readers seeking a strong introduction to the comic book narrative behind these two legends, it is also violent, raw, and chaotic.

Weapon X-Traction will first show in eight Marvel comics this summer. Written by Ryan North and illustrated by Javier Garrón, the narrative is doing something a little unique: Marvel's July and August comics will feature chapters of Weapon X-Traction at no additional cost, with those issues also getting dedicated variant covers featuring the Merc with a Mouth and the Best There Is (as well as Dogpool!).
