Hold on to your aloha shirts because Disney is at it again with a live-action remake! "Lilo & Stitch" - the classic Disney movie from way back in 2002 - is getting a fresh, live-action spin!
How's the New "Lilo & Stitch" Movie Looking?
You might already know Disney loves turning those Disney animated movies into live-action films. They have made quite a few - some super successful like The Lion King, but they have had mixed reception. It is interesting because there is a lot of debate about whether we really needed all these Disney live-action remakes in the first place, with many folks saying we just don’t need to recreate everything that worked before. But Disney seems set on making them. There was a huge backlash when the new Lilo & Stitch cast was announced, with concerns that many characters are appearing much lighter, but that's another conversation altogether.
